As disposable vapes face a possible ban in the UK, pod systems are back in vogue

As widely discussed in the UK press and media, a disposable vapes (single use vapes) ban is on the horizon, but this is not an unexpected move and many companies have been preparing by updating their pod systems. These are not expected to be covered by the single use ban and offer significant advantages to companies which include:

It puts you back in control of your product range with the liquids being filled.
Offers increased margins for you over single use and a cheaper product for consumers.
Great environmental benefits over single use.
Device testing will be required once for each range, ie metals and silicates in vapour and nicotine dose consistency.
TPD emissions testing for each liquid sold in the pod system.
Slow throughput at the MHRA means submissions may take up to six months to appear on the public list, so don’t get caught out by waiting too long before acting.
The 2ml limit applies to pods in the same way as single use.

Whilst a ban on disposables will not benefit public health, these are important tools for the general public who are wanting to quit smoking. It does present an opportunity for vape companies to take back control of their products and once again put crafting flavours back in vogue.
