ADACT Medical
Primary Authority Partnership
Introduction
Trading standards across the UK can interpret TPD/TRPR and GPSR regulations in different ways. For business owners, this may result in a stressful situation, lost time and potentially lost revenue managing inspections from their local trading standards.
In 2017, ADACT Medical entered into a government sponsored partnership under the Regulatory Enforcement & Sanctions Act 2008 with the Peterborough & Cambridgeshire County Council Trading Standards to form ADACT Primary Authority Partnership Ltd. This aim is to provide an efficient and effective service for our customers.
How can the Partnership benefit my business?
Should trading standards inspect your premises and have queries regarding the safety of your vaping products, Peterborough & Cambridgeshire Trading Standards will step in and deal directly with them on your behalf.
Peterborough & Cambridgeshire Trading Standards have expertise in vaping legislation and can resolve queries quickly and efficiently, thus allowing you to focus on your key business activities.
What is a primary authority partnership?
Primary authorities provide advice to businesses that other local regulators must respect on compliance with the regulations. They can also produce an inspection plan for a business to improve the effectiveness of visits by local regulators and underpin better sharing of information.
The advantages to your business are:
access to relevant, authoritative tailored advice
recognition of robust compliance arrangements
the ability to draw on an established and effective means of meeting business regulations
there will be no more regional confusion about the interpretation of regulations
confidence that you are protecting your customers and your business.
