Micro testing – biological risk assessment

Micro testing is also known as a biological risk assessment. We offer testing on nicotine products that is compatible with America’s FDA’s requirements for vape products.

Over a period of time, nicotine can kill contaminant organisms in e-liquid solutions. In order to assure the utmost quality of your product, it is helpful to see if contaminants were present in the raw materials or manufacturing process.

For certain product types, including nicotine products, traditional microbiology is not sufficient. The following three tests will assess if a product has been contaminated in the past and it’s potential to be contaminated in the future:

• active water

• beta-glucans

• endotoxins.
