Description
It’s crucial to know if your product contains actual or fake ‘tobacco-free’ nicotine.
Synthetic nicotine is not derived from tobacco, but is made in a laboratory – hence it is also known as tobacco-free nicotine.
It has the same chemical structure (C10 H14 N2) as nicotine from tobacco. The nicotine molecule has two isomers or mirror images of each other: (-)Levorotary or L-nicotine and (+) Dextrorotary of D-nicotine.
Tobacco derived nicotine contains (-) L-nicotine and the only isomer that has an effect in the human brain. Synthetic nicotine will contain equal concentrations of (-)L and (+)D-nicotine.
Testing is performed in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory in the UK. Our equipment is regularly calibrated and validated both internally and externally for complete quality assurance. Every step in our testing is fully documented and standardised to give more accurate and reliable results.
Your product is tested three times, for accuracy and reliability within five working days. The results are pooled and validated to ensure consistency across the three samples, using standard deviations. Any rogue results can be identified and eliminated so you can have confidence in the accuracy of your testing.
We are happy to discuss the results and your Certificate of Analysis (COA) should you require it.
